What is Soccer Aid for UNICEF?

Soccer Aid for UNICEF is an entertainment-led charity campaign, culminating in the biggest celebrity football match in the world featuring two teams of professional and celebrity players, broadcast live on ITV1, STV and ITVX on Sunday 9th June 2024 at Stamford Bridge. Soccer Aid for UNICEF aims to raise millions of pounds to support UNICEF’s vital work around the world saving lives and helping children get the best start in life.  

Soccer Aid for UNICEF has raised over £90 million for children worldwide since the first game in 2006. In 190 countries around the world, we have used our experience to give millions of children the chance to enjoy a carefree, play-filled childhood. We are so proud of this and can’t wait to make it happen for millions more. 

The money raised this year could help UNICEF protect children from disease and
malnutrition, keep them safe in times of crisis, and get them back to school. Together we’re protecting play for every child. 

When and where will Soccer Aid for UNICEF 2024 be played?

This year, the match will be back in London at Stamford Bridge, on Sunday 9th June. The game will be broadcast live exclusively on ITV1, STV and ITVX.

Are there any restrictions on what can be brought into the stadium?

Soccer Aid for UNICEF takes the safety of our supporters extremely seriously. Supporters are invited to read the pre-match email which will be sent to all ticket purchasers approx. 7 days prior to the match. 

When will you announce who is playing in Soccer Aid for UNICEF this year? 

We will announce the full line-up of players in the weeks leading up to the match. The latest confirmed line-up can be found on the website here https://www.socceraid.org.uk/line-up/ 

What is the Soccer Aid for UNICEF Academy?

The Soccer Aid for UNICEF Academy is our brand-new schools fundraiser!

Schools that have joined the team will take on a challenge each day during Soccer Aid Week (3rd-7th June), these will be fronted by one of the famous faces from the England and World XI squads each day.

Can I get free tickets to Soccer Aid for UNICEF for me/my family/organisation?

Soccer Aid for UNICEF aims to raise as much money as possible for children around the world and a large proportion of this is generated through ticket sales from the football match. Unfortunately, this means we are not in a position to offer free tickets/memorabilia to fans.

Can my child be a mascot at the match this year?

Soccer Aid for UNICEF is an entertainment-led charity campaign, culminating in the biggest celebrity football match in the world featuring two teams of professional and celebrity players. Soccer Aid for UNICEF child mascot places are limited and therefore carefully selected, for example, through schools engaging with UNICEF UK’s Rights Respecting Schools Award programme.
