- Soccer Aid for UNICEF and CHERY UK have today announced a significant collaboration, which will see the leading car brand become a Principal Partner of Soccer Aid for UNICEF 2026.
- This partnership brings together two organisations who celebrate joy and happiness as core values, engaging a nationwide family audience.
- Soccer Aid is the world’s biggest charity football match and has raised over £121m for UNICEF since its first match in 2006.
- As a Principal Partner, CHERY UK aligns with Soccer Aid’s mission to unite millions of people to support UNICEF’s vital work helping children grow up safe, healthy and able to play.
- CHERY UK will also become the Official Broadcast partner for Soccer Aid for UNICEF 2026
- For its 20th anniversary, Soccer Aid for UNICEF 2026 will take place at London Stadium and will be broadcast live on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player on 31 May from 5.00pm
Leading car brand CHERY UK has partnered with Soccer Aid for UNICEF’s 2026 campaign, supporting the world’s biggest charity football match, in which a star-studded line-up of celebrities and football legends battle it out on the pitch for global children’s charity UNICEF.
Since launch in August 2025, CHERY UK has become one of the country’s fastest growing car brands, introducing its line-up of popular TIGGO SUV models. The new partnership with Soccer Aid for UNICEF marks the latest phase of the brand’s commitment to the UK, supporting an event that unites some of the world’s greatest talent for a vital cause.
The parent company, Chery Group, is also major global partner of UNICEF, and has committed $12 million since 2023 to support global education programmes.
As part of the Principal Partnership, which was brokered by Wavemaker, A WPP Media brand, CHERY UK and Soccer Aid for UNICEF will collaborate on a wide range of exciting activations throughout the campaign. This includes becoming the event’s Official Car Partner and Official Broadcast Partner for the main Soccer Aid for UNICEF show on ITV1 and STV.
The partnership will see CHERY UK’s brand incorporated throughout Soccer Aid for UNICEF’s wider campaign and events and will be brought to life through a range of exciting online and offline customer and dealership engagement activities, in the lead up to the 20th anniversary match at London Stadium on 31st May.
Some of the stellar names who will feature at London Stadium for the 70,000 strong Soccer Aid for UNICEF crowd include: Soccer Aid founder Robbie Williams, Tom Hiddleston, Wayne Rooney, Damson Idris, Owen Cooper, GK Barry, Usain Bolt, Angry Ginge, Jordan North, Joe Marler, Olly Murs, Paddy McGuinness, Big Zuu, Tom Grennan, Richard Gadd, Maisie Adam, and Gladiator Nitro.
Theo Walcott and Soccer Aid’s all-time leading goal scorer Jermain Defoe will lead the frontline for the England team against a sparkling World XI defence boasting Leonardo Bonucci and debutant Jordi Alba.

Created in 2006, Soccer Aid is the world’s biggest charity football match. This is the 20th anniversary of the event, which has raised over £121 million to help give children all over the world a childhood full of play. Soccer Aid for UNICEF raised over £15million last year.
