Why has the match been postponed?

Everyone connected with Soccer Aid for Unicef recognises that these are unprecedented times and our thoughts are with everyone affected by coronavirus. The health and safety of the general public, Soccer Aid for Unicef fans and players is paramount. The postponement – from Saturday 6 June 2020 – has been decided based on UK Government advice and consultation with many other event stakeholders, plus the football family.

When will a new date be confirmed?

Whilst a new date has not yet been confirmed, several options are being explored. Soccer Aid for Unicef remains committed to holding an event later this year to ensure Unicef can continue their much-needed work. Tickets purchased for the original date will still be valid for the re-arranged match. Further updates will be issued in due course.

Will my tickets still be valid for the new date?

Yes. Your ticket and seat location will be automatically transferred to the new date. You don’t need to do anything.

Can I get a full refund?

Yes, we are providing the option of a refund (including ticket processing fees) to all fans who purchased tickets via the official Manchester United ticketing channels. You’ll need to call 0161 868 8000 (Option 1) to request a refund.

Instead of a refund, can I donate my ticket cost?

Yes. You’ll need to call 0161 868 8000 (Option 1) to request a refund. Once this has been processed, please visit: to make your donation.

Some of my party can’t attend, am I able to get a partial refund for their tickets?

Yes. Please call 0161 868 8000 (Option 1) to obtain a refund for individual tickets (including the associated booking fee).

Will child tickets still be valid, if the child has passed their 16th birthday on the new match date?

Yes, flexibility will be provided. Where possible, please bring proof of the child’s date of birth so their age can be confirmed.

Can I get reimbursed for my travel and/or hotel costs?

Please check directly with your travel/accommodation provider; they may be able to refund you, or change your booking to the new match date once this is announced.

If your travel/accommodation was paid for using a Credit Card you may be able to claim monies back through your card provider.

Will the players you have already announced still be playing?

The final lineup for the rearranged game will feature household names from celebrity and football backgrounds. Further updates will be issued in due course.
