Postponement FAQ's

When will a new date be confirmed?

Soccer Aid for Unicef will take place this September at Old Trafford, the home of Manchester United. Further updates on the date of the game will be issued in due course.

What do I need to do to claim my refund?

You don’t need to do anything to claim a refund. Individuals who have already purchased tickets will be automatically refunded the full amount spent on tickets within 7 days of the donation conversion deadline (Sunday 16th August) passing. Ticket purchasers have the option to donate the value of their tickets (including booking fees) to Unicef UK by clicking on the link in the refund email sent to the ticket purchaser from Manchester United Football Club.

Can I roll my ticket over to a future Soccer Aid event?

Unfortunately, tickets will not be able to be rolled over to a future Soccer Aid event. We hope to be in a position to announce details of the 2021 game in the near future.

If I choose to donate my ticket money will the full amount go to Unicef UK?

Yes, as well as the face value of the ticket being donated, Manchester United have very kindly agreed to waive the booking fees which means the full amount taken from a ticket purchasers’ card when purchasing tickets will go to Unicef UK. By donating the value of your ticket/s, you could change a child’s life by providing lifesaving supplies to children around the world.

Will my donation be Match-funded by the UK government and Gavi, The Vaccine Alliance?

Yes, every £1 you donate becomes £3, thanks to the UK government and Gavi, The Vaccine Alliance.

When will Unicef UK receive my donation?

The deadline for ticketholders to convert tickets to a donation to Unicef UK is Sunday 16th August. Refunds, for those who haven’t donated, will start to be processed on Monday 17th August and the process may take up to seven working days from this date. Once all refunds are settled, Manchester United will transfer the balance of all the donation monies to Unicef UK.

If I change my mind after donating, can I later request a refund?
